Privacy Policy
Cibora: Allergen Scanner ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when using the app.
No Data Collection
Cibora does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers or share it with third parties. All your data — including your allergen profile, scan history, and tracked auto-injectors — is stored locally on your device.
Data Storage
- All scans, history and other data are saved directly on your device.
- No information leaves your device except the network connections described below.
- Your data remains private and under your control at all times.
Network Connections
Two features contact external services, and neither transmits personal information:
- Barcode lookup — when you scan a product barcode, that barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) to retrieve product and allergen data.
- Purchases — if you buy Cibora Premium, the purchase is validated through RevenueCat and the app stores.
Label photos, recognised text, your allergen profile, scan history and auto-injector records are never transmitted.
Camera Access
The app requests access to your camera to scan barcodes and ingredient labels. Images are processed on your device and deleted after the scan; they are never transmitted or shared. Cibora does not request access to your photo library.
Security
Cibora uses the device's standard security features to help keep your data safe. However, please note that security also depends on the measures you take to protect your device.
Children's Privacy
Cibora is not intended for children under 13. The app does not collect information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be posted in the app and on this page.
